Beşiktaş Cola Turka 113 - 71 Galatasaray Cafe Crown

Our Beşiktaş Cola Turka Men’s Basketball wallops Galatasaray Cafe Crown 113-71 in Game 3 at Akatlar Cola Turka Arena to cut the archrival’s semifinal series lead to 2-1.

Opening the game with a starting lineup consisting of Chatman, Muratcan, Baxter, Cevher and Wesson, the Black and White stormed out to an early 12-6 lead on a dazzling barrage of short jumpers three minutes into the quarter. Despite a late 8-0 run by Galatasaray, Beşiktaş Cola Turka was up 26-18 at the end of the first frame.
Hot-shooting Mehmet Yağmur teamed up with Wesson and Chatman in the second to stretch the home team’s lead to 20 points midway through the stanza with a 12-0 surge. Unable to slow down the Black and White’s offense, Galatasaray found itself down 60-32 after two quarters of play.
At the outset of the second half, Hosley tired to bring the yellow and red back into the game; but his solo effort wasn’t enough, as the gap ballooned to 30 points on a string of unanswered 3-pointers by Muratcan and Baxter with under 6:00 remaining. Never allowing their opponents any chance to stage a comeback, the Black Eagles carried an insurmountable 86-49 lead into the final quarter.
The fourth stanza continued a long the same lines; and at one point, the margin grew to 46 points when Ömer Ünver and Mehmet Yağmur stepped up and drained back-to-back 3-pointers. Staked to a huge cushion, Beşiktaş Cola Turka gave some playing time to its young players down the stretch, en route to a lopsided 113-71 win that trimmed Galatasaray’s series lead to 2-1.
