Our Men’s Handball Squad took a 2-1 lead in the finals with a hard-fought 36-33 victory over İzmir Büyükşehir Belediyesi at BJK Süleyman Seba Sports Hall.

Despite a productive outing from Ramazan in the first minutes, the Black and White eventually lost steam and were down by 2 at the half, 19-17 because of some defense mistakes.
In the early minutes of the second half, Beşiktaş put together a brief rally to pull ahead of the Izmir City side but, thanks to continuing defensive woes, still trailed 27-23 at the midway point. Nevertheless, as the half progressed, goalkeeper İbrahim began to come up with clutch saves in the net and helped the Black and White chip away at the deficit. Then, the game’s top scorer İbrahim pulled our team even at 29 with 5:00 left. It was a roller-coaster ride from there until the buzzer; as the teams ended the regulation time in a 31-31 tie. 
In overtime, Bülent stepped up and lifted the Black and White team to a 36-33 win that gave Beşiktaş a 2-1 lead in the finals.
