Beşiktaş Men’s Handball were held to a 26-26 draw by the visiting UCM Spor Resita of Romania at Süleyman Seba Sports Hall in the first leg of the Challenge Cup Semifinal.

The Black and White got off to a fast start and opened up a 5-goal lead midway through the half, but the Romanians fought back and managed to close within 14-13 at the break. Resita carried their momentum into the second half and built a 3-goal cushion entering the final 8:00. But a late rally enabled Beşiktaş to come away with a 26-26 tie.
The two sides meet again in Romania on May 2nd.
