Beşiktaş 0 – 0 Bursaspor

Beşiktaş and Bursaspor played to a goalless draw at İnönü Stadium on Turkcell Super League Matchday 27. The Black and White’s Ibrahim Toraman was ejected from the game in the 44th minute after receiving his second yellow card.

Before the kickoff, the subscribers of Young Eagle Magazine celebrated the April 23rd National Independence and Children’s Day together with the players of our youth organization and the students of Beşiktaş High School in front of a full house.
Meanwhile, the fans put up a giant banner that covered a good portion of the stands reading “As Atatürk’s Favorite Club, We Always Follow His Footsteps.”
The Black and White entered the pitch carrying a banner, which said “We Celebrate April 23rd-World’s Children Day.”
The game refereed by Deniz Çoban started off in this festive mood, and Beşiktaş’s early attacks failed to materialize into anything; as the Black and White seemed to have not enough intensity in the first half.  In the closing minutes, the visitors came close to scoring on couple of occasions; but the goalkeeper Rüştü managed to keep them at bay with a series of brilliant saves. İbrahim Toraman was shown his second yellow in the 44th minute and Beşiktaş had to play the rest of the game with 10 men.  At the end of the first 45 minutes, the teams were locked in a 0-0 draw.
After Cisse replaced Tello at the start of the second half, Beşiktaş, despite playing one man short, were able to take command and pin Bursaspor in their own half for the remainder of the contest. The Black and White brought on Yusuf Şimşek and Serdar Özkan for Delgado and Holosko in later stages but failed to capitalize on their chances as the game ended in a goalless tie. The draw kept Beşiktaş in second place with 56 points, a point behind the league- leading Sivasspor.
