Beşiktaş 1- 0 Kayserispor

Beşiktaş scrape past visiting Kayserispor, 1-0, at BJK İnonü Stadium on Matchday 26 of the Turkcell Super League with a 27-minute goal from Yusuf Şimşek.

The match was refereed by Tolga Özkalfa and a packed house cheered the Black and White on throughout 90 minutes.
Our team entered the field with a banner that read “Beşiktaş celebrates the 164th Anniversary of Turkish Police Force.”
The game started off with a flurry of chances by Beşiktaş, as they pinned Kayserispor deep in their own end. The pressure paid off in the 27th minute when Yusuf Şimşek smashed Serdar Özkan’s cross into the bottom corner of the net with a low volley to put the Black and White up, 1-0. Defender Ali Turan received his second yellow card in the 32nd minute and Kayserispor had to play shorthanded for the remainder of the game. The first half ended with a score of 1-0 in favor of Beşiktaş.
The Black and White pressed for an insurance goal in the second half and had several good chances but couldn’t grab a two-goal lead. The late substitutions of Holosko, Tello and Uğur İnceman for Serdar Özkan, Bobo and Yusuf Şimşek made little impact over the course of the game; as Beşiktaş ran out 1-0 winners and remained second in the table with 52 points, a point behind the leader, Sivasspor.
