Aliağa Petkim 90, Beşiktaş Cola Turka 104

Beşiktaş Cola Turka Men’s Basketball Team routed Aliağa Petkim, 104-90, on the road in a Week 21 game of the League.

After swapping buckets early on, the teams were locked in an 8-8 tie midway through the opening quarter. Then hot-shooting Mehmet Yağmur teamed up with Muratcan Güler and Baxter to open up a 10-point, 29-19 lead for the Black and White heading into the second frame. 
At the onset of the second, Aliağa got 7 unanswered points from Aubrey Reese and crept within 2 at 33-31 three minutes into quarter. While Beşiktaş Cola Turka struggled to find its offensive rhythm, revitalized home side went on to take a 4-point, 41-37 edge at the halfway mark. But Mehmet Yağmur began to convert his layups once again that closed the gap and put the Black and White back on top. A last-second three-pointer by Haluk Yıldırım gave Beşiktaş Cola Turka a 53-48 advantage at the half.   
Wesson and Baxter combined for 7 points in the early going of the third; as the Black and White extended its margin to 10 points, 60-50, only two minutes into the second half. But from that point onwards, Aliağa’s American players came alive and helped the Izmir City representatives to pull within 66-64 with 6:15 left on the clock Undeterred by the home team’s surge, Beşiktaş Cola managed to regroup quickly and re-establish its double-digit advantage at 77-66 with 1:40 remaining, thanks to a string of outside shots by the trio of Cevher, Muratcan and Baxter. The Black and White was sitting on a comfortable 81-67 cushion entering the fourth. 
Beşiktaş Cola Turka carried its momentum into the final stanza and went on to build a 15-point, 90-75, lead midway through quarter en route to a 104-90 rout of the Aliağa Petkim on the road.
