In the aftermath of Beşiktaş’s 3-2 away victory, our Technical Director Mustafa Denizli evaluated the Black and White’s performance in a press conference:

‘‘Contrary to common opinion, tonight’s game turned out to be one of the toughest games we played this half of the season. But we managed to survive in the end and walk away with valuable three points.
Of course, the others will score against us during our matches; but we shouldn’t allow the type of easy goals we let in tonight. But if you are up by two goals so early in the game, you tend to lose your concentration. Nevertheless, if we want to win this race, we shouldn’t let that happen and be more cautious on defense.
In fact, after getting those two early goals, we made everything difficult for ourselves and lost our discipline completely. In probably one of their last chances to prevent relegation, Hacettepe played extremely hard and did everything to get back into the game. I congratulate them on their valiant effort.
A win away from home is always precious, especially in this tight title race. We have been in Ankara for almost a week; it is nice to be going back to Istanbul.’’
