Beşiktaş Men’s Handball Team defeated Austrian side HIT Innsbruck 25-24 at BJK Süleyman Seba Sports Hall in the second leg of the Challenge Cup Fourth Round and qualified for the quarterfinals on away goals rule. 

Playing before a boisterous crowd and Beşiktaş Board Members, the Black and White put forth a strong effort in the first 30 minutes and carried a 13 -11 edge into the half. 
The Austrian team came out flying in the second half and opened up a 5-goal lead at the halfway mark. But, from that moment onwards, Beşiktaş mounted a stunning comeback and tied the score at 23 with 6:00 left. 
The remainder of the half was an exciting seesaw with the lead changing hands several times; but the Black and White managed to eke out a 25-24 win in the end.
Since Beşiktaş lost the first game 26-25, the Black and White advanced to Challenge Coup Quarterfinals on away goals rule. 
Beşiktaş has become the only Turkish team to make it to the quarterfinals of this prestigious European cup.
