Beşiktaş:1 Antalyaspor:0

Tello’s first-half goal sinks Antalyaspor at BJK İnönü Stadium on Match day 18 of the Turkcell Super League.

Spurred on by a boisterous home crowd, the Black and White applied pressure right from the kick-off and won back-to-back corner kicks; but unfortunately failed to convert any of them. During one of those corner kicks, Sivok came real close to scoring, but his header went inches wide. Although, the visiting side Antalyaspor eventually regrouped and launched a series of threatening counterattacks through Djiehoua, it was Beşiktaş who would draw the first blood. Tello put the Black and White one-goal up in the 32nd minute with a superb top corner shot from outside the box; and Beşiktaş would hold that lead until the halftime.
After bringing on speedy forward Holosko for Serdar Özkan in the second half, the home squad took control offensively and created clear-cut chances through Tello’s dangerous looking crosses. However, Antalyaspor keeper Ömer Çatkıç would produce some brilliant saves and keep Tello, Nobre and Holosko at bay. Nevertheless, in the 54th minute, İbrahim Toraman scored what looked like a legitimate goal, but it was disallowed by the referee Tolga Özkalfa due to a ‘strange’ offside call. Antalyaspor had also a goal cancelled in the 84th minute for the same reason. At the end of a hard-fought 90 minutes, the Black and White collected another valuable 3 points to inch closer to the top spot, in a week their title rivals dropped points again.
