In their 3rd Fortis Cup Group A game, which was refereed by Aytekin Durmaz, Beşiktaş beat visiting Gaziantep Büyükşehir Belediyespor 3-1 with goals from Serdar Özkan (16), Bobo (27) and Nobre (68).
Despite falling behind to Cafer Can’s strike in the 14th minute, the Black and White managed level the score through Serdar Özkan two minutes later. Then, at the 27-minute mark, Bobo redirected Tello’s free-kick into the left corner to give Beşiktaş a one-goal lead. Two minutes ago before half time, the same Bobo suffered a serious knee injury and had to be replaced by Holosko. After 45 minutes of play, teams went to the locker room with the Black and White leading 2-1.The visitors from Gaziantep City kept pushing forward in the second half to get the equalizer, but Beşiktaş held strong; as Nobre put them up by two goals with a brilliant finish in the 68th minute. Since neither team was able to score for the remainder of the game, the Black and White ran out 3-1 winners.
Having won their previous Fortis Cup Group A matches against Antalyaspor and Trabzonspor, Beşiktaş made it three wins in a row and surged a top with 9 points, securing their place in the next round.
