Visiting Beşiktaş Cola Turka Men’s Basketball edged Italian Benetton Treviso 89-80 in its 5th Eurocup game.

The Black and White got off to a fast start and took a 20-15 lead at the end of the opening quarter. The game went back and forth in the second; but Beşiktaş Cola Turka went into the locker room at the half with a 42-40 advantage. Both teams came out swinging in the second half and were deadlocked at 61-61 entering the final quarter. The Black and White shook off an early challenge from its formidable host early in the fourth and put together a late rally to roll to a dazzling 89-80 victory.     
For Beşiktaş Cola Turka, Mire Chatman finished with a game-high 30 points, followed by Cevher Özer who chipped in 27. Adem Ören (12), Baxter (11), Mehmet Yağmur (6) and Haluk Yıldırım (3) also scored for the victors.
Competing in Eurocup Group C, the Black and White defeated mighty Benetton Treviso 77-72 in its first encounter in Istanbul as well.
