In the aftermath of Beşiktaş Cola Turka’s well-earned 66-58 win over crosstown rival Galatasaray Cafe Crown, the Black and White celebrated the derby victory with its fans.

All basketball circles agreed that; despite playing without Mire Chatman, Dennis Mims and Head Coach Hakan Demir, the undermanned Beşiktaş delivered a strong performance and definitely deserved to win.

Mehmet Yağmur and Cevher Özer who played a key part in Black and White’s victory spoke to the press:

Mehmet Yağmur: If I shot a little better, we could have pulled away much earlier. We focused on winning right from the start. We are all trying as hard as we can to climb up the standings. We made a terrible start into the season, but we managed to bounce back and win 5 in a row. We are getting better with every game.

Cevher Özer: We were missing two good players and our head coach tonight, but we still put up a valiant effort and showed everyone what we are really made of. This was a must-win game for us. We had to win to keep our winning streak intact. I also want to thank all our fans who came out to support us tonight. Their support played a major part in our win. We intend to win our upcoming games as well and finish the regular season with a higher ranking.
