Beşiktaş Cola Turka Men’s Basketball Team visited Mutlu Akü Selçuk University on Matchday 11 of the Beko Basketball League and squeezed out a dazzling 78-74 victory.

The early part of the opening quarter was a shootout with both teams coming out of the gate hot; however, Mutlu Akü would eventually seal its defense and use a 9-0 run to open a 16-7 lead at the halfway mark. The Black and White tried to narrow the gap but was unable to keep Mack and Dunn away from the basket, as it trailed 23-16 heading into second.     
After Baxter made a layup to start the second frame, Adem nailed a jumper and brought Beşiktaş Cola Turka back into the game. Sparked by a barrage of threes from Haluk Yıldırım, the Black and White went on to even the score at 33-33 with 6:15 left on Chatman’s bucket. Soon after, Haluk Yıldırım would step up and drill another three-pointer from the left corner to put his club ahead, 36-33. The Black and White withstood a late Mutlu Akü rally and led 40-35 at halftime. 
The home squad Mutlu Akü watched Beşiktaş Cola Turka run and gun its way to a 13 point lead in the third; as the visitors pushed their lead to 48-35 midway through the third quarter with a string of unanswered points. Besides hot-shooting Haluk Yıldırım and Chatman, Mehmet Yağmur also started knocking down his jump shots and helped the Black and White build a 63-52 cushion heading into the final stanza. 
Mutlu Akü was back on its feet in the fourth; and thanks to back-to-back buckets by the trio of Mehmet, Dunn and Saunders, slowly began to chip away at the deficit. While the Black and White struggled to get into good rhythm, the home team managed to crawl within 4 with 1:30 remaining. But it wouldn’t get closer than that; as Beşiktaş Cola Turka walked away with a 78-74 victory.
