Beşiktaş:2 Eskişehirspor:0

Beşiktaş hosted Eskişehirspor at BJK İnönü Stadium on Matchday 12 of the Turkcell Super League and walked away with a 2-0 victory.

The teams tried to gain dominance in midfield early on and failed to create any clear-cut chances. As the half progressed, the Black and White begun to impose their authority with dangerous attacks from both flanks but could not capitalize on their chances. Beşiktaş pinned their opponent deep in their own field during the closing stages the opening half and had enough chances to win comfortably but managed to squander all of them. In the 31st-minute, Tello blasted a corner kick directly into the net; but the referee disallowed what looked like perfect goal from the stands claiming that it did not cross the goal line completely. Undeterred by this poor call, Beşiktaş kept attacking and finally found the back of the net in the 35th minute when Sivok ended the goal drought with a superb header from almost the goal line that went through the goalkeeper’s legs. The Black and White carried its one-goal advantage into the break.
Beşiktaş had the better of the play throughout the entire second half and doubled their lead in the 60th minute on Nobre’s gorgeous finish. The Black and White played with more confidence after the second goal and snuffed out all Eskişehir attacks. At the dying minutes, Serdar tried to create some chances but these attacks could not turn into effective positions. At the end of a week, in which the other top contenders had all dropped points, Beşiktaş walked away in league with valuable 3 points.
