Beşiktaş Cola Turka Women’s Basketball hosted French Bourges Basket at Akatlar Cola Turka Arena and lost the hotly-contested game 60-56.

The Black and White put out a starting lineup consisting of Naile İvegin, Shay Doron, Milica Dabovic, Laura Harper and Hornbuckle. The teams matched each other basket for basket in the early going and were locked in a 7-7 tie midway through the quarter. Then the Lady Black and White tighten up on defense and mounted a late surge to close out the opening quarter up 18-12.
Beşiktaş Cola Turka carried its momentum into second frame and stretched its lead to 9 points two minutes into the quarter (21-12). However, the French ladies eventually found their offensive rhythm and managed to bring Bourges back to within 3 points on a string of unanswered baskets. Nevertheless, the Lady Black and White went into locker room holding a 27-22 advantage at halftime intermission.
After Naile İvegün hit a jumper to start the second half, the Black and White suddenly got sloppy for no apperant reason and turned the ball over on numerous occasions. While Beşiktaş Cola Turka kept missing shot after shot, the French reeled off 6 consecutive points to pull within 29-23 at the halfway mark. From that point on, the visitors took control while Beşiktaş looked in deep trouble. Then a late Bourges surge put the visitors ahead, 46-40, heading into the final stanza.
Bourges Basket dominated the fourth quarter and widened the gap to 13 points at 57-44 with over 5:00 left. Beşiktaş Cola Turka made a final push to get back into the game and managed to narrow the deficit to single digits but failed to turn the game around; as the visitors emerged with a hard-fought 60-56 victory.
