B. Burhaniye Belediye: 61 - Beşiktaş Cola Turka: 73

Beşiktaş Cola Turka Women’s Basketball visited Bahçesehir Burhaniye Belediyesi on Day 3 of the Beko Basketball League and came away with a well-deserved 73-61 victory.

After Alexis Hornbuckle hit a 3-pointer to start the game, Milica Dabovic followed it up with a short jumper to give the Lady Black and White a 5-0 early lead. However, the home team battled back and leveled the score at 7-7 on consecutive points by the trio of Tülay Hızal, Reshea Bristol and Tuğçe Canbaz. Then, Jocelyn Maurice Penn put Burhaniye Belediyesi temporarily in front; but Beşiktaş Cola Turka retaliated quickly with back-to-back buckets by Alexis Hornbuckle, Müjde Yüksel and Laura Harper and opened up a 19-11 gap en route to a 21-14 first-quarter lead.
Müjde Yüksel and Seda Tekindağ teamed up to put together a 5-0 run at the start of the second and stretched the margin to 26-14. The host team tried to narrow the gap with jumpers by Zeynep Tamyüksel and Jocelyn Maurice Penn, but could not find a way to contain hot-shooting pair of Alexis Hornbuckle and Melek Bilge. The Black and White defense closed its doors on the host team midway through the quarter and Melek Bilge continued to bang home from all angles rest of the way; as Beşiktaş Cola Turka built a comfortable 40-27 cushion by the halftime.
Bahçeşehir Burhaniye Belediyesi opened the second half with Tülay Hızal’s layup and went on to mount an 8-0 run with a string of unanswered points by Jocelyn Maurice Penn, Reshea Bristol and Lakesha Tolliver that brought it within 40-35. After going scoreless for nearly 3 minutes into the third, Alexis Hornbuckle nailed a jumper and ended the Black and White’s scoring drought. However, the host team wasn’t much fazed, because Tülay Hızal and Reshea Bristol continued to pour it in and helped Burhaniye pull within 49-48 with 3:00 left. Beşiktaş Cola Turka answered right back with Laura Harper and Milica Dabovic to boost its advantage to 4 points, 56-52, but Tülay Hızal and Tülin Okumuş staged another impressive comeback --this time with a 5-0 run-- to put their club narrowly ahead, 57-56, entering the final 10 minutes of the game.
The teams fell into a scoring drought at start of the final frame and went scoreless for nearly two minutes. While the home team continued to struggle offensively, Laura Harper and Alexis Hornbuckle drained back –to-back jumpers and fired Beşiktaş Cola Turka back on top.  The Lady Black and White went ahead, 62-59, with just over 6:00 remaining. From that moment on, Beşiktaş began to play tenacious defense and stretched its lead to 68-59 on a string of unanswered points by Laura Harper and Milica Dabovic with under 4:00 left in regulation time. Tuğba Taşcı’s layup extended the visitor’s lead to 70-59 entering the final two minutes. Jocelyn Maurice Penn made a last ditch effort with a 20-foot jumper to keep Bahçeşehir Burhaniye alive, but it was too little and too late, as the Lady Black and White sailed to a convincing 73-61 victory.
