Beşiktaş 2- 1 Hacettepe

Our Football Team sneaked past visiting Hacettepe, 2-1, at BJK Inönü Stadium in Day -6 of the Turkcell Super league. Beşiktaş goals came from Batuhan Karadeniz and Mert Nobre.

The Black and White stepped on the pitch with a banner that carried the pictures of 15 Turkish soldiers who recently lost their lives during treacherous terrorist ambush at the gendarme border post in Şemdinli, Hakkari and said, ‘‘We Will Never Forget You.’’ Before observing a one-minute pre-game silence to commemorate the said martyrs, the fans displayed their own banner that read, ‘‘Our Nation State Will Never Be Divided, Because Our Martyrs Never Die.’’
Beşiktaş got off to a fast start and scored on their first serious attack when Batuhan Kardeniz took advantage of the visitors’ mis-placed clearance and put the Black and White in front, 1-0, after only 6 minutes into the game. Following Beşiktaş early goal, Hacettepe came out of their selves and pushed hard in search of a quick equalizer.  At the 20- minute mark, the Black and White failed to clear a corner-kick and it was the visitors turn to get on the scoreboard, as Kadir ended the visitors’ goal drought with a left-footed shot and tied the game at one goal apiece. Following the equalizer, Beşiktaş regrouped and exerted pressure but could not find the back of the net. After Cisse squandered a golden opportunity to put the Black and White ahead in the dying minutes, the sides headed into the halftime break with the score locked at 1-1.
Determined to win at all costs, Beşiktaş kept attacking in the second half and organized dangerous wing attacks to break the deadlock. The pressure finally paid off when Nobre drove home Delgado’s brilliant pass to give his squad a one-goal lead midway through the half. During the remaining minutes, Ankara representatives, Hacettepe tried hard to erase the deficit but the tenacious Black and White defense stood firm and restricted them to a few opportunities. After containing their visitors’ initiatives, Beşiktaş took complete control of the midfield and made sure that the score remain the same down the stretch to pick up a 2-1 victory.
