Our Technical Director Ertuğrul Sağlam commented after Beşiktaş’s 2-0 shutout over Konyaspor regarding his players’ performance:

“Tonight we were up against an extremely experienced squad. We upped the tempo from the opening kickoff and pressed them all over the pitch. We did not allow them any time on the ball. As a result, we created a lot of chances in the first half but somehow managed squander all of them.
I told my players during the break to be patient and stick to our game plan until the final whistle. The play in the second half was exclusive in their half of the field. Our physical superiority paid off in the end and started scoring goals. Our defense held its ground and kept them away from our net. I am satisfied with the performance we put out tonight.”
