Hakan Demir has been announced as the new Head Coach of Beşiktaş Cola Turka Men’s Basketball Team. After working for 6 years as Efes Pilsen’s Assistant Coach, Hakan Demir coached Tekelspor and Mersin Büyükşehir Belediyesi, before heading off to Switzerland to coach Sion last year.

The new Coach of Beşiktaş Turka signed a 2-year contract with Beşiktaş with 1-year option.
Our Board Member in charge of the Basketball Branch, Şeref Yalçın made these comments regarding the new coach: “We are confident that Hakan Demir will help us complete our unfinished business both in Turkey and Europe remaining from last year. With his international experience, he will definitely be a great asset to our team. Meanwhile we are adding new players to our rooster to be in a better place than last year.”
The new Head Coach of Beşiktaş Men’s Basketball Team responded by saying: “It is a great honor to coach a team that has left its mark on the European basketball recently with valuable and memorable results. There is only one way for a team which finished the regular season atop the standings and barely missed the Final- Four in Eurocup last year and is forward. This season we will try to build a championship team which will not give up until it reaches its goals on all fronts.”
