Ankaragücü 0-2 Beşiktaş

Our Professional Football Team claims a 2-0 victory over Ankaragücü at Ankara 19 Mayıs Stadium in Week 33 of the Turkcell Super League with goals from Delgado (45+2) and Tello (22).

The match was refereed by Hüseyin Göçek and a group of vocal Beşiktaş crowd cheered their team on throughout the entire 90 minutes.
The home side Ankaragücü turned in a fine display of attacking football in the early going, but our goalkeeper Rüştü Reçber pulled off a number of clutch saves and kept them at bay. Despite a wet pitch which made it difficult to get the ball under control, the Black and White eventually took command and managed to pull ahead. Beşiktaş was awarded a penalty shot after Serdar Özkan was brought down inside the box during the injury time, and Delgado put his club 1-0 in front before the teams headed into the locker room at the half.
Beşiktaş slowed the game down in the second half but maintained control rest of the way. Ali Tandoğan was brought on for Serdar Özkan in the 64th minute to provide extra speed upfront. In the closing stages, the Black and White started probing away at the hosts’ defense in search of an insurance goal. The tactic paid off, as a 77th- minute Tello free-kick from the left flank found the back of the net after hitting the cross bar and keeper Serkan’s leg. The late Beşiktaş substitutions of young Emir Gökçe (81) and Serdar Kurtuluş (90+2) for Nobre and Tello did not change the course of the game and the Black and White cruised to 2-0 victory, raising their point tally to 70.
