According to Ertuğrul Sağlam, the Beşiktaş fans who filled the stands of 5 Ocak Stadium played a major part in the win. “We sincerely thank those fans who provided a full support throughout the entire game. They helped us turn a rather difficult game into an easy victory. At times, we felt like we were playing at our own Inonü Stadium,” said Sağlam.

He went on to add, “In addition to getting 3 well-executed goals, we did not let them create any clear-cut chances throughout the entire 90 minutes. Now, all we have to do is to win our remaining two games and wait for the other games’ results.”
