A Goal Show at Inönü

Our Football team routed Trabzonspor, 3-0, behind goals from Nobre (5’), Delgado (45’) and Aydın Karabulut (79’) to remain on top with 58 points in week 26 of the league.

The match at Inönü Stadium was refereed by Bülent Yıldırım. As usual, Beşiktaş fans packed the stands and cheered their team on throughout the entire game.
Beşiktaş came out of the gates flying and drew first blood in the 5th minute when Nobre rifled home Holosko’s teasing cross from the right wing. The early goal forced the visitors to come out of their shells and attack for an equalizer. But the Black and White team began exerting pressure of its own after weathering the early storm. Then Delgado curled a superb injury time free-kick into top left corner past goalkeeper Tolga to give Beşiktaş a 2-0 lead at the end of the first half.
Having established a two goal cushion, the Black and Whites took complete control early in the second half. But after İbrahim Toraman was sent off in the 48th minute with two yellow cards, they had to endure another barrage of Trabzonspor assaults at their own end. Nevertheless, their seasoned goalkeeper Rüstü Reçber produced a string of brilliant saves to keep the visitors at bay.  Then both teams were reduced to 10 men after Barış Memiş received his second yellow in the 61st minute. Beşiktaş brought on Aydın Karabulut for rather tired looking Tello 20 minutes from time. The tactic paid off, as young Aydın found himself one-on-one with Tolga and scored the goal to make it 3-0 in the 79th minute. The late substitutions of Bobo and Gordon for Nobre and Serdar Özkan did not alter the course of the match during the remaining minutes and our Black and Whites ran out 3-0 winners.
With this win Beşiktaş raised their points to 58 and remained atop Turkcell Super League.
