Our Team Captain İbrahim Üzülmez and Argentinean star Delgado made these comments following Beşiktaş’s valuable 3-0 win over the visiting Trabzonspor:  

İbrahim Üzülmez: “Coming into the game, we knew that it was not going to be an easy match for us. Trabzonspor is a formidable side and they played as hard as they could out there. They created a lot of chances after we moved two goals up, but couldn’t take advantage of them. Our goalkeeper Rüştü got us out of the jail on couple of occasions with superb saves which kept them at bay. I think he played a key role in tonight’s victory and definitely deserves high praise for his solid performance. This was one of those crucial must-win games for us and we are all delighted that we came out the winners at the end. But in order to lift that championship cup at the end of the season, we’ve got to win our remaining games as well. Now, we are looking forward to our next game.”
Delgado: “At this stage, it is not easy to achieve high performance every time we step on the field, but I think we executed quite well at times and produced some great passes along the way. We delighted with the win. Now, we have to get ready for our next game. With the addition of Holosko, we started playing much faster upfront. He is a quick and agile player. He’s been a great asset to our team. We must also thank our goalkeeper Rüştü . If he didn’t pull off those brilliant saves, the score would be much different right now. He certainly helped us win this game tonight. The other teams are following us close behind, so we must keep our motivation and focus on our aim.”
