Gençlerbirliği:1 – Beşiktaş:2

Our Footbal Team stays on top after snatching a 2-1 injury-time win away to Gençlerbirliği in week 25 of the Turkcell Super League. İbrahim Toraman and Bobo scored the goals for the visiting Beşiktaş who now leads the league with a total of 55 points.

The match refereed by Yunus Yıldırım took place at Ankara 19 Mayıs Stadium and a large Beşiktaş crowd motivated their team throughout the entire game.  The Black and Whites took to the pitch with a banner reading “Organ donations save lives, Turkish Kidney Foundation.”
The Black and Whites started strong and created serious chances early on but none were taken. Than the game’s balance went into the favor of the host Gençlerbirliği, as they looked more threatening especially in the closing stages. But since neither team managed to pull ahead of each other, the first handed ended in a 0-0 tie.
Beşiktaş kept plugging away in the second half and came close to scoring with Delgado but his 51-minute drive hit the goal post and wouldn’t go in. The Black and Whites finally got the goal they deserved 9 minutes later when İbrahim Toraman sent the ball coming from Tello’s free-kick into the host team’s net with a brilliant header to give his club a 1-0 lead in the game. But Kerem’s 69th - minute volley following a failed clearance attempt by Beşiktaş defense equalized the score at 1-1. Beşiktaş technical staff made a cleaver move brought on much needed Bobo for Serdar Özkan in the 73rd minute. During the last minute of regulation, he was tripped inside the box by Tuna and the lines man Serkan Akarça signaled a penalty shot but referee Yunus Yıldırım waved the play on. Despite this controversial call, the Black and Whites refused settle for a draw and an injury-time goal coming off a goal-line scrimmage by Bobo put them back on top for good.
Beşiktaş managed to hang onto their one goal lead down the stretch and grabbed another vital three points to remain at top of Turkcell Super League with a total of 55 points.
