Beşiktaş:3 – Dicle Üniversitesi:1

Our Women’s Volleyball pulled out a 3-1 victory over the visiting Diyarbakır Dicle University at BJK Cola Arena in the 14th week of the Turkish Volleyball League.

The teams spent much of early going exchanging kills and our Lady Black and Whites managed to carry a slim 8-7 edge into the first technical timeout. The set continued in tight fashion and Beşiktaş were still clinging to a 1-point, 16-15, lead at the second technical timeout. But from then on, our Black and Whites broke the game open with powerful blocks and stretched their margin to 21-18 en route to a 25-19 opening set win that put them ahead 1-0 in the game.
Beşiktaş Women’s Volleyball came out flying in the second set and jumped out to a comfortable 8-4 lead at the first technical timeout. Backed by an array of exciting kills and blocks, the Lady Black and Whites continued to outplay their opponents at the net and opened up a 16-12 margin by the second technical time out.  They never relinquished the lead thereafter and took the set 25-17 to make it 2-0 for the home side. Both sets lasted approximately 20 minutes each.
Beşiktaş managed to carry its momentum into third set and held leads of 8-4 and 16-12 at the technical timeouts just as they did in the second set on effective serves and blocks. But thanks to a number of powerful spikes and thundering blocks from Katerina, the visiting Diyarbakır Dicle University came from behind to take the set 25-23 and brought the score to 2-1 after 25 minutes.
Both teams matched each other point for point in the fourth set and our Black and Whites headed into the first technical time out trailing 8-7. But they managed to regroup behind the effective spikes by Todorova and Atika en route to a 25-18 set win, which lasted 19 minute, to claim a 3-1 victory over Diyarbakır Dicle University.
Following this valuable win, our Lady Black and Whites raised their total points to 14 and remained safely in the 7th place.
