The Head Coach of Beşiktaş Cola Turka Men’s Basketball Team, Ergin Ataman, our Basketball Branch Coordinator Hasan Bozkurter and player Mehmet Yağmur made these comments regarding their memorable win over Efes Pilsen:

Ergin Ataman: “It was not easy game and we knew it coming into the game. This would be the second test after our crucial ULEP Cup game we played midweek. It was a battle for the first place. They changed their zone defense frequently in the game and this made it harder for us to get to the basket. But we made use of our home court advantage and prevailed in the end. I would like thank all our fans who came out to support us.”
Hasan Bozkurter: “With this well-earned victory, we guaranteed to finish first in the regular season. Now, we have critical European Cup game coming up next week. We are hoping to win that game as well and continue on both tracks. I have feeling that if our fans come out and support us as the way they did today, we will win both championships without facing any problem.”
Mehmet Yağmur: “Our aim is to lift the Championship Cup at the end of the season. As you’d recall we were badly beaten by the Efes Pilsen in the Turkish Cup, and I put out a terrible performance in that game. I hope I made it up for it in this game.”
