Beşiktaş:3 – Ankaraspor:2

Our Football Team ran out 3-2 winners over the visiting Ankaraspor at BJK İnönü Stadium in Week 22 of the Turkcell Super League with goals from Nobre (11’), Holosko (60’) and İbrahim Toraman (90+3).

Despite harsh snowy weather conditions, Beşiktaş fans packed the stands for another league match with a breathtaking finish. The game was refereed by Yunus Yıldırım while Alper Ulusoy and Volkan Narinç assisted him as linesmen.
The Black and Whites took the field carrying a banner that said, “We Celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Kabataş Men’s High School.” The early minutes of the game were played out mainly in midfield as both teams had trouble controlling the ball due to an icy pitch. But Nobre put Beşiktaş a goal up with an 11th minute header off of a corner kick. The referee Yunus Yıldırım stopped the match in the 31st minute and requested the redrawing of the pitch lines which were covered in deep snow. The game resumed after 2 minutes, but neither team was able to change the score during remaining of the first half, as Beşiktaş clung to a 1-0 lead heading into locker room at the break.
The Black and Whites came on strong in the second half and a 60th minute goal by Holosko made it 2-0 for Beşiktaş. Despite bringing on Ricardinho for Nobre in the 72nd minute, it seemed the Black and White team relaxed too soon. Two quick goals from De Nigris in the 83rd and 86th minutes leveled the score at 2-2 and Beşiktaş looked in trouble. But the late substitutions of Ibrahim Kaş and Batuhan for Cisse and Aydın paid immediate dividends as Beşiktaş scored its third goal with İbrahim Toraman in injury time en route to a thrilling 3-2 victory.
