Our visiting Football Team suffered a 2-0 defeat to Kayserispor in a Week 21 game of the Turkcell Super league. Our Chilean player Tello was sent off in the 70th minute after receiving his second yellow card.
The game took place at Kayseri Bş. Bld. Atatürk Stadium and was refereed by Bülent Demirlek. Cemal. He was assisted by the linesmen, Cemal Gemici and İsmail Köse while İlker Meral acted as the 4th referee. When our Brazilian star, Bobo aggravated his knee injury during the pre-game warm-up, he was removed from the starting line-up and Nobre took his place with Ali Küçük being included to the 18 men squad.
Our Fans, who would not let Beşiktaş walk alone in Kayseri City, cheered their on from the opening whistle.
Due to poor pitch conditions both teams staged a cautious football in the early going, as they battled it out to gain control in the midfield. But an injury-time goal by Koray gave Kayserispor a 1-0 lead at halftime.
In the second half, our Black and Whites took some risks to find a quick equalizer while goalkeeper Rüştü kept the home side at bay with brilliant saves. Tello, who received a yellow card in the 19th minute, grabbed his second and Beşiktaş had to carry on with 10 men from the 70th minute onwards. Black and Whites brought on Batuhan Karadeniz and new transfer Gordon Schildenfeld for Nobre and Serdar Özkan. But a Gökhan Ünal goal in injury time put the game beyond the reach of Beşiktaş, as Kayserispor ran out 2-0 winners over their mighty visitors.
