Çankaya University:71 – Beşiktaş Cola Turka:79

Our Beşiktaş Cola Turka Women’s Basketball Team claimed a 79-71 road victory over Çankaya University in the 13th week of TBBL.

After Ayşe Dilek Ünüvar popped a nice jumper to start the game, the Lady Black and Whites went on to take a 10-9 lead midway through the quarter. Despite late defensive woes, they held a 21-18 edge entering the second.
The Capital City representatives came out flying in the second and built a 6 point lead at 27-21 within the first 2 1/2 minutes. Zanze teamed up with Nilay and Nazlı Güler to keep Beşiktaş Cola Turka in striking distance, but the home team refused to bow before its visitors and stretched the margin to 10 points halfway through the quarter. Nevertheless, Lovelace stepped up in the dying minutes and pulled Black and Whites to within 3 points, 40-37, at halftime.
After Lovelace hit a short jumper to open the third quarter, Lady Black and Whites surged ahead 47-42 behind back-to-back buckets by Vanessa and Nilay midway through the quarter. But Çankaya University’s ladies bounced back with a late run and grabbed a 56-55 edge going into the final period of play.
In the hotly-contested fourth quarter, Beşiktaş Cola Turka put on a spirited performance and pulled ahead 66-61 with 4 minutes remaining in the game. Entering the final minute with a 5 point, 73-68, advantage, Lady Black and Whites held off their hosts in the dying minutes and walked away with a 79-71 victory.
 
Lovelace was the architect of Beşiktaş Coal Turka’s offense with 29 points. Nilay Yiğit (15), Şaziye (10), Vanessa (8), Zanze (8), Ayşe Dilek Ünüvar (5) and Nazlı Güler (4) were the other scores of the Lady Black and Whites.
