Our Football Team brushed aside visiting Gaziantepspor 3-1 with goals from Cisse (42’), Nobre (77’) and Ricardinho (88’) in the 20th week of the Turkcell Super League.

The match took place at BJK Inönü Stadium and refereed by Cüneyt Çakır. As usual, the faithful Beşiktaş packed the stands and cheered for their favorite team from start to finish.
Even though, Beşiktaş came out strong and asserted its authority in the early going, Zurita put the visitors from Gaziantep City ahead with his 20th-minute goal. The Black and Whites got over the shock of conceding an early goal quickly and regrouped to apply extra pressure in search of an equalizer. But they had to wait until the 42nd minute when Cisse fired home Nobre’s deflected shot and leveled the score. Teams went into their locker rooms locked in a 1-1 tie at the half.
The Black and White Team put on a sterling performance in the second half and created a flurry of chances to go ahead. After Baki Mercimek’s 63-minute header was cleared off the goal-line by defender Murat Ceylan, Gaziantepspor defense managed another goal-line clearance in the 75th minute and prevented Nobre from scoring. But two minutes later, Nobre came back and put the Black and Whites in front for good with a well-placed low drive from the left corner of the box. Beşiktaş made late substitutions and brought in Serdar Özkan and Ricardinho for Nobre and Tello. This tactic paid off because Ricardinho added the insurance- goal in the 88th minute with a simple finish after a clever inside pass from Holosko. Aydın Karabulut came on for Delgado a minute later, but the score remained unchanged until the final whistle, as Black and Whites ran out 3-1 victors in the end.
With this victory, Beşiktaş became the first team of the league to record 6 wins in a row and increased its point tally to 43.
