Following Beşiktaş’s 3-1 come-from-behind victory over visiting Gaziantepspor, our Technical Director Ertuğrul Sağlam said his players deserved to win the match because fought hard on the pitch.  

He went on to make these remarks regarding the game:
“Despite falling behind early in the game, we managed to come back with 3 goals and please our fans. After their 5-0 loss to Fenerbahçe last week, we knew that they would come out to play an attacking football against us. We got over the shock of conceding an early goal quickly and began to play positive football until end of the first half. Despite numerous chances, we managed to score only one goal in the first 45 minutes. During the halftime break, I told my players to keep their composure and wait for their chances. And that’s exactly what they did in the second half. We took control of the game and scored two well-organized goals to win the match. We also created numerous other chances and could’ve scored more goals. I congratulate my players on their valiant effort. They fought hard and did not lose their discipline until the final whistle.”
