Beşiktaş:3 – Ankaragücü:1

Goals from Tello, Serdar Özkan and Delgado ensured Beşiktaş JK a 3-1 victory against visiting Ankaragücü in the 16th week of the Turkcell Super League.

The match was played at BJK İnönü Stadium and refereed by Bülent Demirlek. Both teams stepped on the pitch together with a banner that said, “Share Your Aid Offerings with Red Crescent.” A large Beşiktaş crowd cheered on their team from start to finish.
Our Black and Whites came on a roll and put the pressure on their opponents in the early going. Serdar Kurtuluş who had a long-lasting recovery got injured again and had to be replaced with Ali Tandoğan in the 8th minute. Meanwhile, our goalkeeper Hakan Arıkan pulled off a string of fine saves to keep Ankaragücü forwards at bay. Then Tello opened the scoring with a superb free-kick in the 36th minute to give Beşiktaş a 1-0 lead in the game. Serdar Özkan doubled the score in the injury time and sent the Black and Whites into the locker room with a 2-0 halftime lead.
During the early minutes of the second half, teams traded dangerous chances until a 52nd Bebbe header pulled one back for the visitors and made it 2-1. But Beşiktaş managed to restore its two goal advantage on a long-range Delgado drive that bounced and past Ankaragücü goalkeeper in the 67th minute. Late substitutions of Mehmet Sedef and Koray Avcı for Tello and Nobre did not change the score as our Black and Whites cruised to a 3-1 victory.
