Visiting Beşiktaş Cola Turka Women’s Basketball Team suffered an 83-72 loss to Panionios in the last game of FIBA European Cup, but both teams advanced to the next round.

In a first-place contest, our Lady Black and Whites, who already had guaranteed the next stage, were outgunned by the Greek representatives and finished second in their group.
Beşiktaş Cola Turka started off hot and used an 8-0 run within the first 1 1/2 minutes to take a 29-20 lead at the end of the opening quarter.
The home team came on strong in the second and began chipping away at their deficit. Unable to demonstrate the previous quarter’s offensive rhythm, Black and Whites trailed 44-38 heading to their dressing at the half.
 Panionios managed to carry its momentum into second half and stretched the lead to 12 points. The Black and White team rallied back to cut the deficit to single digits mid way through the quarter but still trailed 65-54 after three quarters of play.
Beşiktaş Cola Turka mounted a comeback the in fourth and pulled with 65-63 with 7 minutes to play in the game. However, determined to finish first,   the Greek team refused to get caught and rallied back to run away with an 83-72 victory.
