Following our valuable 1-0 victory over Bursaspor, our Technical Director Ertuğrul Sağlam made these coments regarding the game:

“Coming into the game we knew that this was another crucial game for us. We had to win to remain close to the top. A win would also boost our morale and confidence before our Champions League game on Tuesday. Playing against Bursaspor on its home ground is always a difficult chore. We also had to deal with an extremely negative atmosphere. But we prevailed, and came out the winners at the end of the game. My players had shown a high level of desire for the game. They wanted to make up for last season’s loss. They did not get distracted by the negative atmosphere coming from the stands, and did their job perfectly. We also did not allow them create any serious chances throughout the game. We knew that if our defense kept them off the board we would get a chance to score in the end. And that’s exactly what happened. I congratulate my players on their positive effort. But we have no time to celebrate because we have a big game coming up on Tuesday. We must now concentrate on our Porto game. If we can win over there, it will be a turning point for us.
