Beşiktaş: 1 – Çaykur Rizespor: 1

Beşiktaş and visiting Çaykur Rizespor played to a 1-1 tie at BJK İnönü Stadium in the 14th week of the Turkcell Super League. Beşiktaş scored on a goal by Carlos Delgado in the 72nd minute.

The game refereed by Zafer Önder İpek was played in front of a large Beşiktaş crowd who cheered wildy for their team throughout 90 minutes.
Getting off to a fast start, Beşiktaş quickly applied pressure on visitor’s defense through attacks organized from the middle and wings in search of an early goal. One minute after his brilliant shot hit the cross bar in the 30th minute, Nobre drew the first blood but the referee canceled the goal by claiming it was offside. The undeterred Black and Whites created a flurry of chances during the remaining minutes but unfortunately could not convert them. The teams headed to their locker rooms in a 0-0 tie at the half-time break.
Despite playing much superior, Beşiktaş found it self in deep trouble after Leandro’s 51st minute goal that put Çaykur Rizespor a goal up. Black and Whites’ technical staff quickly made a tactical change and brought in İbrahim Akın and Batuhan for Mehmet Sedef and tired Nobre to provide additional scoring punch. This new strategy paid its dividends in the 72nd minute when Delgado drilled home a superb drive past goalkeeper Gonzales to level the score at 1-1. Burak Yılmaz’s late entry into the game for Serdar Özkan would not change the score and Beşiktaş was forced to settle for a 1-1 draw against visiting Çaykur Rizespor.
