Following our precious 2-1 victory over Marseille, Ali Tandoğan, Tello, and Delgado made these comments regarding the game:    

Ali Tandoğan: “We got off to a fine start and played as well as we could. In the second half, we played more defensively to protect our lead. But they kept coming at us real strong. When I was just discussing this matter with our goalkeeper Rüştü, they scored the goal. But we managed to keep control of the ball a little longer in the final 15 minutes and got what we wanted. It turned out to be a valuable win for us.”
Tello: “Once we got started we realized that we could restore our qualification hopes. I know I scored a good goal but winning and keeping our qualification chances alive were much more important for me. After our tragic loss at Liverpool, it was not easy to force our way back into contention. But we managed to do it in the end. Now, we want to keep winning and show everybody what Beşiktaş is really made of.”
Delgado: “After our recent poor performance, we had to show everybody that we are not as bad as they think. Every team may go through a difficult period. This must be regarded as natural in football. I am confident that we’ll cut this period short and prove everybody that we are actually a good team full of gifted players.”
