Competing in Group A of Second Division, Beşiktaş Men’s Volleyball Team posted a 3-0 win over Bursa representative Tofaş at Beşiktaş Cola Turka Arena in the 5th week of the League.

The first set started with both teams matching each other almost point for point with the visitors nursing a slim 8-7 lead at the first technical timeout. But, helped by scores from Rıdvan and Bekir, our Black and Whites gradually pulled away, leading 16-12 at the second technical before cruising to a 25-18 opening set victory for a 1-0 edge in the match.
Beşiktaş came on strong in the second and led 8-5 and 16-12 at the technical timeouts on consecutive points. An excellent blocking prevented visitors from getting anything while Faik and Hakan kept scoring for the home team. As a result of this superior performance Black and Whites took the second set 25-15 and made it 2-0.
During the early going of the third set both teams exchanged points on the net but Beşiktaş remained safely in front by leading 8-6 and 16-13 at the technical timeouts. Rıdvan and Bekir continued to slam in powerful spikes down the stretch to give Black and Whites the set 25-20 and the match in straight sets.
