Our visiting Women’s Volleyball Team suffered a 3-0 loss at the hands Eczacibasi Zentiva in the second week of Turkish Volleyball League.

Both teams showed early strength in the opening minutes of the first set which was filled with excitement and classy performance as they matched each other point for point. Beşiktaş’s Ladies held narrow leads of 8-7 and 16-15 at the technical timeouts. But the home team Eczacıbaşı Zentiva bounced back and took the opening set 25-21 on consecutive kills.
Eczacibasi Zentiva got off to a better start in the second and led 8-6 going into first technical but Lady Black and Whites fought back to carry a slim 16-15 advantage into second technical timeout. Unable to get around the monstrous blocks put up by Vesna and Naz, Beşiktaş began to falter as the set wore on and dropped the set 25-21 to give its host a 2-0 lead in the match. 
Helped by huge blocks, Eczacibasi Zentiva took advantage of Beşiktaş’s poor service-receiving game and went into the technical timeouts leading 8-5 and 16-11. When Lady Black and Whites could not find their usual offensive rhythm to get back into the game, Eczacibasi Zentiva won the set 25-12 and cruised to a 3-0 victory.
