Our handball team edged past the Croatian representative RJ Osiek Elektromodul 25-21 and gained a valuable advantage in the first leg of EHF Cup 3rd round.

Beşiktaş handball team which represents our country in EHF Cup hosted its Crotian opponent at BJK Süleyman Sports Saloon. Backed by its fans non-stop cheering Black and Whites got off to a fast start and quickly jumped out to an early lead. But as the half progressed, both teams displayed defensive game and kept the score low. Nevertheless, Beşiktaş managed to take a 13-9 advantage at the half-time break. Black and Whites somehow lost their offensive rhythm in the first 10 minutes of the second half while the visitors closed the gap. But Beşiktaş recovered and managed to build a 4 goal advantage down the stretch to run way with a 25-21 victory in the end.
The second leg of this round will be played on November 25 in Crotia. If Black and Whites team win the second leg or lose by less than 4 goals, they will qualify for the last 16.
