After Beşiktaş’s 25-21 victory against RJ Osijek Elektromodul in the first leg of EHF Cup 3rd round, our Coach Mufit Arın made this evaluation regarding the game:

‘‘This is a two-stage competition and we won the first round. We could have scored more goals but a 4 goal advantage is very valuable at this level. I would like to congratulate all our players on their brilliant effort. We displayed a solid defense in the first half but we got a little tired in the second half. If we can repeat this performance in the second leg, we will qualify from this round.’’
Our star players Utku Ergüder and Ramazan Döne also made comments on the game.
Utku Ergüder: ‘‘We played an extraordinary defense today. We should’ve scored a lot more but kept hitting the goalkeeper. If God wills, we will beat this team again in the second leg and move on to the next round. The referee managed the game very poorly and prevented us from posting a bigger deficit.’’
Ramazan Döne: ‘‘We could win this game with a 10 goal margin but their goalkeeper was very lucky. I hope we can protect our 4 goal advantage in the second leg and get qualified from this round.’’
