Following the Liverpool-Beşiktaş match, the coach of Beşiktaş , Ertuğrul Sağlam made this statement:

“What can I say about football?  We are very sad.  We did not expect things to end up like this.  We apologize to our fans.  Of course, this result will not be forgotten, but football has no yesterday. We now must look toward the future.  We have a lot of hard work to do.”
