After reminding reporters that he didn’t recall a third Fenerbahçe scoring chance besides their two goals, our Technical Ertuğrul Sağlam made these comments regarding the Istanbul derby:

‘We certainly created more chances than the home team but unfortunately ended up scoring less. If you to win a game, you must convert those positions at all costs because sole chances will not win the game for you. Besides their goals I don’t recall a third threatening Fenerbahçe position in the entire game. On the other hand, we played well and had a flurry of chances to extend our 1-0 lead but somehow managed to waste all of them. The lack of finishing touches have become a serious concern for us lately and we must definitely work on them.’’
