Beşiktaş:0 B.Belediyespor:0

A rather tired looking Beşiktaş was held to a 0-0 draw by visiting Büyükşehir Belediyespor in the 10th week of Turkcell Super League.

The full house at BJK İnönü Stadium expressed its anger against recent terrorism once more with a sea of colorful banners, flags and non-stop cheering. The emotional crowd also took its time to celebrate the 84th Anniversary of Turkish Republic. Beşiktaş stepped on the field first with their ‘‘This Team Is Proud of You’’ written banner and thanked Black and White fans for that tremendous support they showed midweek. Then both teams came together under another banner which said, ‘‘Long Live the Republic’’ as they greeted the Republican Day.
Oktay Demiray was the referee of the match which was kicked off by our team. Despite its high tempo, the game was mostly played in midfield and tired Beşiktaş forwards were unable to overcome a dogged defense put up by the visitors. After a late flurry of Beşiktaş chances, teams went to their locker rooms in a scoreless tie at the half.
At the start of second half Black and Whites brought in Brazilian Ricardinho for Delgado to help the team offensively but Büyükşehir Belediyesi stepped up their own attacks and created more chances. However a series of excellent saves by goalkeeper Hakan Arıkan kept them at bay. After striker Nobre replaced Burak Yılmaz, Beşiktaş missed a golden opportunity to go ahead as Bobo’s superb header came off the crossbar at the 67-minute mark. Despite Mehmet Yozgatlı’s late entry into the game for Serdar Özkan, black and Whites were unable to change the scoreboard and the game ended as it started.
