After the victory over Liverpool, İbrahim Üzülmez, Serdar Özkan, Edouard Cisse, Serdar Kurtuluş ve Gökhan Zan made the following comments:

Serdar Özkan: “We should remember that banner which said‘A Turk has no friend other than another Turk’   especially in these days. I heard that some people said that we cold not score a goal. In these days we should support each other. Fenerbahçe had a draw yesterday and I hope Galatasaray can also win. We played very well today. It does not matter if I scored a goal or not. We had victory and 3 point, and the rest is academic. We are all very pleased. We aim to wrap up one of the first two places in the group or to join the UEFA Cup. There is no difference between strong and week teams in football anymore.  There can be some differences in their budgets only. We won because we fought very hard.”
Cisse: “It was not easy to get this score on the field. Our fans never left us alone even for a second. There were times that there has been decline in our performance, but our fans gave us the power to continue. I have never seen such fans in my life. I have been feeling the same way since I started playing for this team. We have magnificent fans. The support of our fans is so great that we get united on the field.”
Gökhan Zan:”Turkish and European media had showed Liverpool as favorites before the game. We had also played offensive in the previous games. In this game we played in an amazing atmosphere against an experienced and strong team. We had lots of position to score a goal and gave away very few positions. Our fans support us incredibly and this gives us power and motivates us to play better. We hope that they will continue to support us through the season.
 I wish to congratulate all our Players. We played well and we were very comfortable on the pitch.  To play defensive in the last minutes is normal. We knew that they will play offensive beforehand. This victory is dedicated to the families of our fallen soldiers. We want these incidents to end and we do not want to see any more blood to be shed. We wish to offer our condolences to the families of all fallen.
We were very proud before the game. The support of our fans and their slogan, “Win this game for our martyrs”, motivated us tremendously. We thank everyone who supported us.”  
İbrahim Üzülmez: “I think that I did my job tonight and fought as much as I can. All team players played the same way. I wish to congratulate all of them. We are very pleased. I hope this victory will be beneficial to our Team in the future.”
Serdar Kurtuluş: “We won the victory over Liverpool in such meaningful days. The unity and solidarity is so important. This 3 points is a gift from us to the families of all fallen and to our devoted fans, who support us continuously. We got the chance to continue in the Champions League. We will fight until the end.
