Our Technical Director Ertuğrul Sağlam stated that his team’s performance was impressive especially in the first half and his team deserved to win. He also dedicated this win to our club President as a birthday gift:

"In the first half we created 7-8 scoring chances of which we should have scored at least 4-5 of them. But unfortunately we couldn’t convert them for us. After our Champions League loss to Porto, it was important to win this game to stay close in the race. We planned to start with high tempo and score quick go goals to wrap the game up early. Maybe it was the most productive first half we ever played this because we managed to do everything in the name of positive football. In the middle of the second half, we started to feel the tiredness of our Wednesday game and slowed down. This made us change our game strategy as we strengthened our presence in midfield with 5 players.  It was also nice to see that our positive football, which we staged against Porto, continued in this game as well.   
I would like to thank to all our fans for their sincere support. Yesterday it was our president’s birthday so we present this win and positive football to him as a birthday gift.   
Now we have a 15 day break for the national games. We have to make use of this valuable period to improve our deficiencies. Our positive football must be staged in each of our game day in day out."
