Our Technical Director Ertuğrul Sağlam made the following comments about our Champions League game against Porto:  

‘‘I am quite pleased with my players’ solid performance on the field. Their desire to win and game concept were also more than satisfying. I think we staged a very good football here tonight. I hope this positive play will put an end to our recent slide. However, the final score didn’t truly reflect our hard work. Sometimes you play much better than your opponent but still end up losing at the end. This unfortunate score will be a valuable lesson for us. 
We are also delighted to be the dominant side on the field. As you all witnessed, we controlled the game and didn’t give any serious scoring chances away against a well-known European team which had been on a rise recently. However we had an unlucky goal scored against us and lost the game. There is not much we can do but get ready for the next game.’’
Regarding his friction with the referee Ertuğrul Sağlam said:
‘‘I only pointed out the player who tackled Nobre illegally to referee and no further dialogue took place between me and him.’’
