Our team captain İbrahim Üzülmez and players Gökhan Zan and Cisse recapped our second test in Champions League for the press.

İbrahim Üzülmez: ‘‘We played extremely well tonight. We had a lot of clear cut changes but couldn’t convert them into goals. It is always sad to lose in the last second. Overall, we competed much better than our recent league games but unfortunately didn’t receive what we deserved in the end. I think we are going through an unlucky period. We are truly disappointed with the result but what else can we do, it’s a part of the game. Now, we must quickly forget this game and concentrate on our upcoming league contest against Gençlerbirliği scheduled for this Sunday.’’
Gökhan Zan: ‘‘It was a difficult match. We had to keep creating chances without letting them come near to our own end. This was not an easy job to do against a powerful squad but that's exactly what we accomplished tonight. Therefore our tonight’s performance must be appreciated by all. If we could only score a goal, the others would surely follow. This outcome has shown us that we have to be more careful in front of our own net and not lose our concentration until the final whistle. We are all saddened by the fact that they won the game with an unexpected last second goal. This game is going to be a priceless experience for us. Nevertheless, our positive play has given us a hope for future games. We will test our chances until the end.’’
Cisse: ‘‘We weren’t really expecting this result. I believe our team staged a solid performance on the field. Porto didn’t get too many chances but we came close to scoring on many occasions. Tonight, we couldn't find the net because the luck wasn’t on our side.. We lost this game but we looked promising for our future games. If we keep playing like this, i think the success will come.’’
