After having its legal goal disallowed during injury time, visiting Beşiktaş was held to a goalless tie against Ankaraspor and raised its point to 11, instead of 13 in the 5th week of the Turkcell Super League.  

The game was played in Ankara Yenikent Asaş Stadium and refereed by Vedat Yüksel. The Black & White fans from Capital City supported their team enthusiastically throughout the game.  Our new transfers, Diatta and Higuain played their first offical game of the season under Black & White Jersey.
Ankaraspor kicked off the match. Beşiktaş tried to exert its pressure with well organized attacks from the onset. But the host Ankaraspor opted to stay mainly in defense and relied on a fast counter attacking football. In fact, the host team couldn’t get out of its own half during the first 15 minutes of the game. Despite the consistent scoring attempts by Black & Whites coming from accurate through balls, the first half ended in a 0-0 tie.
While Beşiktaş started off the second half without making any substitution, home side preferred to display a more attacking performance compared to first half. In the 74th minute Nobre and Mehmet Yozgatlı replaced Higuain and Koray Avcı.  The final substitution, that brought Ricardinho into the game for Serdar Özkan 10 minutes from time, changed the rhythm of the game in favor of Black Eagle. As a result, a 90+2 minute cross by Tello went directly into the home side’s net without touching anyone.  But referee’s dubious call made on the suspicion of a hand-ball created by nearby Nobre, disallowed what looked like a perfectly legal goal. Since there was not sufficient time to change the score board both teams battled to a goalless draw.  This wrong call by the referee took 2 points away from Black & Whites and left them in the second place of the standings.
