According to International Football History and Statistics Federation (IFFHS), Beşiktaş moved up 42 places on international rankings thanks to the assessment of the results attained during the past year.
The rankings based on last years results showed that due to their consecutive wins Black & Whites have been steadily ascending on the international arena. A total of 180.5 points enabled them to pass 42 teams and take the 32nd place.With these points Black Eagle left two of its three Champion’s League opponents behind.
While Liverpool took the 7th place in IFFHS rankings , Marseille and Porto remained in the 58th and 68th places respectively.
The first place was captured by the Spanish team, Sevilla which had also been on the rise in recent years.
