Thanks to a 37th minute goal by Bobo, our Football Team grabbed a 1-0 victory over visiting Konyaspor and made a successful start into the new season.

Beşiktaş’s first official match of the 2007-2008 season was played at BJK İnönü Stadium and refereed by Selçuk Dereli.
Our devoted fans showed great interest in the game and supported their team throughout the game wholeheartedly.
Relying on an effective attacking football, Black & Whites created back to back scoring chances in front of their opponents’ goal right from the start. But the impressive saves by Konyaspor’s keeper; Özden did not allow Beşiktaş to take the lead with an early goal. Visitors' scoring attempts in return were successfully dispersed by Beşiktaş's backcourt. Nevertheless, Bobo managed to send Serdar Kurtuluş’s 37th minute cross into Konyaspor net with a well-timed header that put Beşiktaş 1-0 ahead for the first half.
In the second half, Black Eagle’s wing attacks kept applying pressure on visitor’s defense in search of a second goal which would probably put the game out of Konyaspor’s reach for good. As a result, Beşiktaş came close to scoring once again but İbrahim Akın’s brilliant 58Th minute drive came off the post and did not hit target. Meanwhile, Delgado and Ali Tandoğan entered the game for Bobo and İbrahim Akın. Since neither team was able to change the score-board during the remaining minutes, Black & Whites won their debut 1-0 and made a promising start into the new season.
